ABOUT US

About Love Fellowship Church

Love Fellowship Church is a dynamic Word-based ministry, where there is freedom in worship and love is extended. Knowing the call of God on their lives to start LFC in the metro Charlotte area, Pastors Anthony and Renee Williams along with their son Jonathan and two other families took a bold leap of faith and moved from GA to Charlotte in the summer of 2008. It was during this time Love Fellowship Church was birthed. LFC is always involved with numerous outreach projects ranging from ministering to our homeless neighbors, giving away Thanksgiving baskets, school supplies to students and teachers and life empowerment classes. Children, Youth and Teens are a vital part of this teaching ministry and are included in our vision and discipleship plan. We have classes for Married Couples and Singles as well as opportunities for fellowship and fun.

Statement of Faith

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, to be the only infallible, authoritative written word of God. (Jeremiah 30:2; Hebrews 2:2; Romans 4:23-25; II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21)

GOD

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26; Exodus 20:1-5; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 63:9-10; Matthew 3:16, 17; 28:9; Luke 3:22; John 17:3; Galatians 4:4-6)

JESUS

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; that He shed His blood on Calvary in our place, was buried, rose again and ascended to the Father and is seated at His right hand. (Luke 1:26-33, 22:20, 24:46)

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit to be the third person of the Trinity whose purpose in the redemption of man is to convict men of sin, regenerate the repentant believer, guide the believer into ALL truth, indwell and give gifts to believers as He wills, that they may minister as Christ would to men. We believe that the manifestations of the Holy Spirit recorded in (I Corinthians 12:8-11) shall operate in the present day churches which yield to the Lord Jesus Christ. (Luke 11:13; John 7:37-39, John 14:16-17, John 16:7-14; Acts 2:39-48)

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, is for all believers as promised by John the Baptist and Jesus and Peter was witnessed by the early disciples of Christ and is evidenced by many present-day disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:4, 5, 8, Acts 2:38-41, Acts 2:4, Acts 10:44-47, Acts 19:1-6)

SALVATION

We believe that all who, in faith, receive the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God, as their personal Lord and Savior are born again by the Holy Spirit and thus become the children of God. Salvation is a free gift involving God's love, grace and forgiveness of sin. (Ephesians 1:7; Romans 10:9-10, Romans 5:7-11; Colossians 1:13-14, 21-22; John 17:16-22; II Corinthians 5:17; I Corinthians 6:19)

ETERNAL SECURITY

We believe that salvation is not only a gift from God but is sustained by Him as well. Salvation is wholly of the Lord, apart from the works of man. The Holy Spirit permanently indwells the believer and seals him in salvation for all eternity. Therefore, the believer shall be kept by the power of God through faith. (John 3:16, John 10:27-29, John 14:16-17, 26; Ephesians 1:13, Ephesians 2:8-9; Philippians 1:6; I Peter 1:5; Jude 24-25)

WATER BAPTISM

Is immersion in water in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. It is a symbol of identification with Jesus Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matthew 3:15, 16, Matthew 28:19, 20; Acts 8:38; Romans 6:1-4)

HOLY COMMUNION

Is a memorial of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Luke 22:13-20)

MARRIAGE

We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as described in Scripture. (Genesis 2:18-25) We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. (I Corinthians 6:18, 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4)

HEALING

We believe that God has used doctors, medicines, and other material means for healing; but divine healing was also provided for in the Atonement (Isaiah 53:5) and may be appropriated by laying on of hands by elders (James 5:14-16), laying on of hands by the believers (Mark 16:18), by the prayer of an anointed person gifted for healing the sick (I Corinthians 12:9), or by a direct act of faith. (Mark 11:23)
